UNITED WAY HOSTS COMMUNITY ROUNDTABLE
FOR NATIONAL READING MONTH
WHAT: In recognition of National Reading Month, United Way for Southeastern Michigan will host a virtual Community Roundtable focused on the importance of literacy and its role in strengthening communities across the region.
During this 30-minute discussion, we will discuss the state of literacy in Southeast Michigan and share how initiatives like Read United are expanding access to books, volunteer opportunities and reading programs for local students and families.

WHY: March is National Reading Month, a time to highlight the critical role literacy plays in a child’s long-term educational success and overall well-being. This roundtable will explore how United Way’s Read United initiative and community partnerships ar working to expand access to books, promote a love of reading and support families across Southeast Michigan.
