United Way's ninth annual Women of Influence Summit, presented by Walker-Miller Energy Services is set for Friday, March 14, 2025, at MotorCity Casino. Tickets are sold out!
Each year, we celebrate International Women's Day and raise funds for early childhood education during this event, hosted by United Way for Southeastern Michigan's Women United philanthropic group. Since its inception in 2017, this event has raised more than $1.6 million to support children, families and caregivers in our community.

Donna Orender

Donna is the former WNBA President, spent 17 years working for the PGA Tour and is the bestselling author of “Wowsdom! The Girl’s Guide to the Positive and the Possible.”

We’ll also honor two notable women: our 2025 Woman of Influence Suzanne Shank,
and our Lifetime Achievement awardee, former U.S. Sen. Debbie Stabenow.

Suzanne Shank

Suzanne is co-founder, president and CEO of Siebert Williams Shank & Co., LLC. She has won numerous awards and honors throughout her career and has also been named to the inaugural Bond Buyer Hall of Fame, Inc. Magazine’s 2024 Female Founders 250 List, Worth Magazine’s 2024 Worthy 100 List and USA Today’s Georgia Women of the Century.

LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARDEE

Former U.S. Sen. Debbie Stabenow

Debbie has spent 50 years in public service as a county commissioner, state legislator, congresswoman, and U.S. senator. She proudly passed the torch in 2025 to a new generation of leaders, beginning a new chapter in her life that includes serving the State of Michigan outside of elected office.
