Eastern Market is located at 2810 Russell St, Detroit, MI 48207. There is plenty of free parking. The event takes place in Sheds 5 and 6, right next to Eastern Market’s Sunday Street Market.

Come out to our 25th annual Spring VegFest on Sunday to taste the best plant-based food Michigan has to offer, in addition to some exciting out-of-state options. Admission is free. This family-friendly event will be overflowing with food trucks, restaurants, and specialty food items. Plus, free cooking demonstrations and presentations on plant-based living kick off at 11am and continue throughout the day. Attendees can also enjoy an exciting new kids' zone, complimentary massages from Irene’s Myomassology Institute, eco-friendly shopping, and a chance to learn about local nonprofits making a positive difference in the community. We're very excited to announce the launch of a brand new membership gift option at Spring VegFest this year! Members who join or renew in person at VegFest at the Plant ($50) or Garden ($100) levels will now have the option to choose a new 100% organic cotton VegMichigan baseball cap, just in time for summer! Check out the new style options in the photos. (T-shirts and VegNews magazine will continue to be offered as gift options for the Plant or Garden level memberships.) Caps will be available while supplies last, so be sure to stop by the membership table at VegFest!
Note: Hats will not be available as a membership gift option prior to VegFest.

The Echelon Kitchen & Bar Meetup in Ann Arbor has been rescheduled from this month to the evening of Tuesday, July 28. We're very excited to have the opportunity to try this 2026 James Beard Award Finalist for Best New Restaurant together! Please mark your calendars with the new date and look for menu and registration details coming later this month. Great Lakes Rabbit Sanctuary (GLRS) is hosting its largest celebration of the year, June Jubilee, on Sunday, June 28, from 2pm to 5pm. June Jubilee brings together animal lovers, families, and supporters for an afternoon of education, fun, and connection, all in support of their rescued rabbits, pigs, and goats. Founded 31 years ago, GLRS is a vegan organization located on a 5-acre farm property in Willis, Michigan. Their mission is to rescue abandoned, abused, and neglected domestic rabbits and other animals. Stop by their booth at VegFest to learn more.
