What Is Summer Discovery? Summer Discovery is a free, full-day summer program with academic and enrichment activities. Children will participate in a variety of exciting opportunities, from field trips to art projects, coding, figure skating, STEM projects, outdoor activities, and more! 

Summer Discovery Program Overview:

Program Name: Summer Discovery·

 Target Audience: K-8 students in Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb counties·

 Objective: To provide free, high-quality summer experiences· Partners: 

United Way for Southeastern Michigan and Ballmer Group· 

 Funding: Made possible by a generous $47 million grant from Ballmer Group· 

 Availability: 22,000 seats across 100+ locations in the region

Why Summer Discovery Matters: 

Access to quality out-of-school time has been a longstanding challenge for many families and school districts. Summer Discovery aims to bridge this gap by offering tailored instruction and enrichment activities during the upcoming summer. By participating, students can build social-emotional skills, explore new learning opportunities, and envision brighter futures.
