"Advance Ypsi" Education and Training programs for the Community

Advance Ypsi is a program that will give high school students and adults in the Ypsilanti community an opportunity to obtain education and training for high-wage demand jobs  to fill

employer talent needs in Michigan.

• STEM Learning and Enrichment is Reshaping Education in our Community Student growth following a successful pilot in 2024. Students demonstrated growth in both ELA and math, with average scores increasing by 16 points in ELA and 14 points in math.
• Dr. Rose Bellanca, president of Washtenaw Community College as the 2025 Woman of the Year. Dr. Bellanca will be honored at the annual Power of the Purse on April 16, 2025, at the Morris Lawrence Building of Washtenaw Community College 5:30 – 7:30 p.m
