United Way for Southeastern Michigan fourth annual 21-Day Equity Challenge
United Way for Southeastern Michigan is kicking off its fourth annual 21-Day Equity Challenge tomorrow, May 17, 2024. The goal is to engage over 20,000 folks across Macomb, Oakland, Washtenaw, and Wayne counties around equity and justice.
The Challenge is a self-guided tour through the landscape of inequities shaping our communities. Each workday, participants will get to dive into a mix of articles, podcasts, and videos, each shining a light on different aspects of equity. It's a chance to spend 10-15 minutes a day learning and reflecting, all the way through to June 14. It is a great opportunity to deepen understanding and spark conversations that could really make a difference.
Plus, United Way for Southeastern Michigan is joining forces with big names like Henry Ford Health and Toyota to really amplify the impact of this challenge. These partnerships highlight a strong commitment to tackling inequities and building a more inclusive community at a time when the subject is under attack.
