SUMMER SCHOOL TRAINING BRINGS 800+ EDUCATORS TO FORD FIELD
$60 Million Summer Discovery program kicks off with training for teachers
June 13, 2025 – Detroit, MI – From June 16–18, more than 800 educators from across southeast Michigan will gather at Ford Field for a high-energy, three-day training ahead of Summer Discovery — the region’s flagship summer learning initiative powered by United Way for Southeastern Michigan. The professional development is led by Lavinia RISE Summer Learning, the curriculum, coaching, and PD partner of choice for Summer Discovery sites. Just days before thousands of students begin summer school, educators will prepare to deliver high-impact instruction for students in greater Detroit.
